Allegiance Choir
Allegiance is a teen choir made up of students from throughout the community of Amelia Island, Florida. These young people represent 6 different denominations which include Presbyterian, Methodist, Pentecostal and Baptist. They are sponsored by Amelia Baptist Church on Amelia Island, FL. They are directed by Pam Helton who has been a college vocal instructor for 25 years and Amy Scott who also serves as the instrumental specialist at Amelia Baptist. Allegiance sings classical and contemporary Christian SATB choral music. When they are not singing a Capella literature, they are accompanied by piano or acoustic guitar. They communicate through skits, scripture, and their repertoire.
This group does a tour/mission project every spring and have traveled to Washington DC, Colorado (singing at both Focus on the Family and the Air Force Academy Chapel), Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, North and South Carolina. In June of this year they presented concerts while en route to Matewan, West Virginia, where they served on mission for the fifth year.
Their desire is to grow to love God with all of their heart, soul, and mind and encourage others in their life journey to do the same.
