Amelia Baptist Church

Worship Choir

The Worship Choir sings during the morning worship services and leads our congregational singing.  They also sing with the Amelia Community Choir to present special performances during the course of the year. Two annual Community Choir events held at Amelia Baptist are our Good Friday concerts as well as our annual Christmas production: “An Evening in December!”

Our choir is a non-audition choir, so please visit our worshipful rehearsal on Sunday afternoon.

Worship Choir rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoons at 4:30.

Ps. 33:1-3 Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him. Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.
The Orchestra of Amelia Baptist Church plays once a month during both Sunday morning worship services. The entire group includes strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion.
If you are interested in participating in this wonderful Orchestra, please contact Pam Helton at

Handbell Choir

Our handbell choir director, Lyle Thompson, welcomes new members. They rehearse Thursday mornings at 10:30am. They often play as an outreach to our community.
